I know wives kill their husbands too; but it doesn’t seem to happen as often as husbands kill their wives. I don’t really get why anyone, man or woman, would rather spend the rest of their life in jail than just let go of a failing relationship.

If you hate your spouse why not just get out of the relationship? How do people lose perspective so completely? How do they forget that they survived just fine on their own before they got in a relationship?

I am reading right now that police in Seattle are searching for a man named Jose Angel Blanco. Blanco apparently stabbed his wife Noemi Lopez to death last week Sunday. Her children found her lying dead in a pool of blood in their home.

I don’t have access to deatils about the crime. I don’t know why Blanco killed his wife, but it seems to me that there’s something seriously wrong with the state of love and marriage. Presumably these two people once loved each other so much they didn’t think they could live without each other so they got married; but based on the events of November 30th 2008 it would seem as if that love metamorphosed into intense enough hate to make Blanco stab his wife to death.
