The latest on Laura Garza is that she still has not been found. It has been 20 days since she went missing. Police have searched in a number of upstate New York towns where they believed suspect Michael Mele could have dumped the body; but except for a piece of carpet which they thought might have matched the carpet in Mele’s apartment, they have found nothing.

Michael Mele remains in jail on probation violation charges. Laura Garza’s family continues to plead for help finding her. At this point it would seem the only way she’s going to be found is if Mele speaks, but for now he is saying nothing to police.
