Sad news for Paris Hilton and Benji Madden fans, Paris Hilton and Benji Madden have broken up. I have to admit I was really rooting for them as a couple. I’m among that rare group of people who like Paris Hilton. I think she has more heart, talent and intelligence than people give her credit for. Even though I didn’t really think it was going to last, I was still glad to see that she’d found something special with Benji and I’d hoped their love would stand the test of time. That said, I honestly kind of figured the relationship was more of a rebound thing for Benji and more of a way to be part of Nicole Richie’s new life for Paris.

Personally I think Paris needs to move on from Nicole. Nicole doesn’t seem to really like her or want her around but Paris is kind of like a little girl who wants to spend all her time with her best friend. Being with Benji made her part of Nicole’s new circle with Benji’s twin brother Joel and Nicole and Joel’s daughter Harlow.

I wonder what’s going to happen to Paris now? I guess she’ll just go back to her old ways.
