Arkansas residents Shannon Barron, 40, and Gerald Gallian, 38, are dead. It seems the unmarried couple were having some problems in their relationship that Gallian apparently figured could only be solved by him killing Barron and then killing himself. The woman’s 9-year old son discovered the bodies.

Barron was the mother of Morghan Medlock, a player on the women’s basketball team (Lady Bears) at Baylor University.

Gallian left a note behind, the exact contents of which Litte Rock police have not disclosed.

In the words of Lt. Terry Hastings: “It appears there were some problems between the two, and he shot her and then turned the gun on himself and shot himself.”
