Jodie Sweetin has apparently filed papers in Orange County, California this week seeking a legal separation from her husband Cody Herpin. Herpin claims it came out of the blue and made a comment that seems to mean to question the saftey of his and Jodie’s baby daughter Zoie. He said, “Over this past month something has been different. I’m concerned about our daughter and I just want Zoie home.”  You know, of course, that this is going to have people wondering if Jodie might be back to her old methamphetamine abuse tricks.

Look, I don’t know these people so far be it for me to speculate; but it sounds a little bit like Cody’s trying to put ideas out there, to start people thinking Jodie might be back on drugs and that their daughter might be in danger. He’s probably putting the ideas out there in anticipation of a custody battle or something.

It’s not necessarily a huge surprise that Jodie’s marriage isn’t working out, though. I mean, it’s usually a better idea to take some time to get to know a person before you run off and get married to them; and Jodie did jump into a marriage with Cody pretty soon after meeting him. I hope for her sake and the sake of her daughter that she hasn’t gone back to her old habit of abusing drugs. She’s a nice girl and deserves more; and her daughter for sure deserves a happy, healthy and secure upbringing.
