A Springfield Ohio woman who was shot by her husband last week has been released from Miami Valley Hospital and is corroborating her husband’s claim that the shooting was accidental. Carolyn Havens has backed up what her husband, Timothy Havens, told police which essentially was that while he was moving the gun off the bed it went off and the bullet hit Carolyn.

Fortunately for the couple Carolyn, who had been listed in critical condition at one point, has fully recovered. She gave an interview with a local tv station, denying that the accident occurred during sex.

After denying that the shooting happened during sex, Carolyn added:

“We had earlier [engaged in sex], in the living room and in another room.”

Timothy Havens is currently in jail. Police had arrested him despite his claim that the shooting was an accident because there was a protection order out against him that had been initiated by his wife. They continue to hold him despite Carolyn’s claim that the shooting was indeed accidental. Read more about this
