Young people need to be careful what they do with their cell phones, especially if they live in Pennsylvania. Three girls and three boys aged 14 - 17 are facing child pornography charges after the three girls sent nude or semi nude pictures of themselves to the three boys via cell phone. The teens are students at Greensburg Salem High School in Greensburg Pennsylvania.

The girls are being charged with “manufacturing, disseminating or possessing child pornography”. The boys are being charged with “possession of child pornography”.

Question: What would be the charge if the teens were found together in a room with the boys sitting on a couch and the girls posing for them naked in the flesh?

Marcus Schrenker, the pilot who tried to stage his death, has been found alive in Quincy Florida. Police say he tried to kill himself by slashing his wrists; however, the attempted suicide was as unsuccessful as the attempt to make it appear he died in a plane crash. Schrenker was found bleeding profusely at a campsite near Quincy. He has been taken to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.

It’s too bad Schrenker didn’t succeed in killing himself because he is in a lot of trouble.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have a new daughter and they have named her Seraphina. Apparently people think this is an elegant, beautiful and phonetically matched. The name is supposedly based on the Seraphim which is the highest order of angels. Hey, whatever floats your boat right? Personally I find the name a tad bit full of itself, especially when you take her full name, middle names included, and say them out loud - Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck. After you’re done saying it you feel compelled to bow or curtsy.

The definition of ironic: a lottery held in Alaska to raise money for victims of sexual abuse was won by a convicted sex offender. Alec Ahsoak, convicted in 1993 and 2000 for sexually abusing a minor, won $500,000 in the Lucky Time Pull Tabs jackpot. Proceeds from the Lucky Time Pull Tabs jackpot go to the organization “Standing Together Against Rape in Anchorage” which provides support and other services to victims of sexual abuse. Arrested: Jesus Martinez

Reason for arrest: trying sell his 14-year old daughter into marriage to 18-year old Margarito de Jesus Galindo.

Victim’s Name: The name of Martinez’s daughter has not been released

Where the incident occurred: Greenfield California

Details: Jesus Martinez sold his 14-year old daughter to 18-year old Margarito de Jesus Galindo with the agreement that Galindo would pay him $16,000, 100 cases of Corona, 50 cases of Modelo beer, several cases of meat, two cases of wine, 50 cases of Gatorade and 50 cases of soft drinks. The girl moved out of her father’s house and into the home of her new owner. The father then waited for his money and beer and meat, but after a while, realizing Galindo wasn’t making good on his end of the bargain, Martinez called the police to get his daughter back.

Commentary: What we have here appears to be a cultural issue. Police themselves have admitted that the men, Mexican immigrants, were not aware they were doing anything illegal. Where they come from (the specific area of Mexico they call home) that sort of thing is perfectly normal. It’s a simple case of an arranged marriage; and the girl assured police she willingly moved in with Galindo and was not forced by her father. Of course you can’t practice the way of life of your country in a country where there are different practices and different laws. You can’t move to a new place and fail to adapt to the ways of the new place. You might be a citizen of country A; but if you live in country B you are required to know the laws of country B and to abide by them and you’re expected to adapt to the culture of country B and leave the ways of country A in Country A.

It seems the worse that’s going to happen to Jesus Martinez and Margarito de Jesus Galindo is that they are both facing possible deportation on the grounds of being illegal immigrants. It is not clear what will happen to Martinez’s daughter.

Arrested: Christina Rubin (age:22), Jeffrey Leinheiser (age:20)

Reason for arrest: Christina Rubin paid Jeffery Leinheiser (her boyfriend) to kill her father

Victim’s Name: Marc David Rubin (age:46)

Where the crime occurred: Abington Township, Pennsylvania ( Old York Road)

Motive: The only motive police have managed to come up with after questioning the suspects is that Marc David Rubin used to yell at his daughter a lot. Police say that Jeffrey Leinheiser was visiting Christina Rubin around November 17th 2008 . Marc David Rubin was apparently yelling at his daughter that day. When he heard his girlfriend’s father yelling at her, Leinheister allegedly commented something to the effect of “That’s not right, I wish I could kill him”. The girlfriend then decided Leinheister should have his wish. The two plotted the crime and then executed the act on November 28th 2008.

Other details: Jeffrey Leinheiser shot Marc David Rubin in the head while he was sleeping on the couch in his living room. Christina Rubin and Jeffrey Leinheister left the body of Marc David Rubin in his apartment for 7 days; then they returned to the apartment where Christina Rubin attempted to hack her dead father to pieces with a chainsaw purchased for just that purpose. The dead man’s shorts got caught in the teeth of the chainsaw so the hacking him to pieces part of the plan had to be aborted. Instead the killers went to a store in Northeast Philadelphia to purchase a carpet. They then returned to the apartment and wrapped the body in the carpet, dragged it down several flights of stairs and went off to dispose of it. Their intention was to dump it at sea, but they couldn’t find a boat to rent so they ended up dumping it in the woods where it was found by a deer hunter.

Commentary: When children kill their parents you’re tempted to think the parent must have been abusive in some way. When a young woman kills her father questions arise as to whether the father might have been sexually abusing the daughter. Clearly Christina Rubin was filled with contempt for her father. It’s one thing to pay your boyfriend to shoot your father while he sleeps; but to be willing to then hack your dead father’s body to pieces with a chainsaw, your hatred for your father has to be pretty intense. For anyone to have that much hate, they would have to be depraved themselves or the object of their hatred has done something pretty serious to earn their hatred. According to what Christina Rubin has told police her father’s only crime was yelling at her a lot. If that is indeed the case then Christina Rubin obviously has some serious psychological problems. After all, killing someone because they yell at you a lot is a bit extreme.

Time will tell whether or not there’s more to this story than has so far been brought to light; but whatever the truth, Christina Rubin had other options. She plotted to kill her father. This wasn’t someone who felt like they had no other choice. This was someone who was filled with hatred and wanted to kill the object of her hatred. She acted purely out of vengeance. She went on with her life afterward as if nothing had happened, living in her father’s apartment, using the money in his bank account and checking the internet every day to make sure his body had not been found. It sounds like this could possibly turn out to be exactly as it seems. A girl hated her father because he wasn’t a loving father; he yelled at her a lot, so she decided to kill him. There’s no way to excuse her in that case. She deserves the maximum punishment for her crime.

However, if there’s a deeper message beneath the quote taken from her MySpace page, if her father did more than just yell at her a lot, depending on what he did, what she’s referring to when she talks about seeing “Evil” and hearing “the devil”, and living in “Sin”, while there would still be no excuse for murdering her father, the maximum punishment might not be deserved. Again, time will tell.

The pilot at the center of the fake plane crash has been identified as Marcus Schrenker. It seems he might have been trying to stage his own death to get out from under investigation for securities fraud. According to CNN, Schrenker owns three companies that are under investigation for securities violations. The companies are Heritage Wealth Management, Heritage Insurance Services and Icon Wealth Management.

Schrekner’s plane crashed in East Milton, Florida around at 9:15 p.m. CT on Sunday after he sent out distress signals and informed air traffic controllers that the plane’s windshield had imploded and that he was bleeding profusely. It was eventually discovered that he had set the plane on autopilot and parachuted to safety before it crashed.

Apparently the pilot whose plane crashed in Florida on Sunday who contacted air traffic controllers telling them that the plane’s windshield had imploded and that he was bleeding profusely made might have planned the whole thing. Seems he parachuted to safety at some point before the plane crashed and checked into  a hotel under a fake name. Details are sketchy at present.

Why in the world would anyone want to point out that there hasn’t been a single passenger fatality related to any incident involving a major US Airline in 2 years? Arrested: Tony DeClues (age:52)

Reason for arrest: Stabbing his mother to death

Victim’s name: Louise DeClues (age: 73)

Where crime occurred: New Orleans, Louisiana in the 1300 block of Cambronne Street

Motive: According to police, DeClues has confessed that he killed his mother for money to buy drugs.

Other details: Tony DeClues is being charged with first degree murder. According to the autopsy reports, Louise DeClues died from multiple stab wounds and asphyxiation. Her son might have strangled her to death or smothered her after stabbing her.

Commentary: It is always sad to read about murder of any kind. Killing the elderly rates up there with killing children. It just seems even more abhorrent than an ordinary murder if one can dare use the word ordinary in speaking of any murder. It is unfortunate that Louise DeClues had to meet such an unfortunate end. To be stabbed to death by your own son, and for your son to kill you over money to buy drugs is beyond tragic. People who knew the victim and her killer say Louise DeClues loved her son and doted on him. They remark at the irony that Louise DeClues survived numerous health problems, including breast cancer, only to have the son she loved and valued take her life because he valued drugs more than he valued his mother.
