15-year-old Bronx girl charged with double homicide

20-year old John Hopkins-Drago and 24-year old Christopher Umpierre are dead and a 15-year old Bronx girl is being charged with their murders.
Police say Sharell Butler, aided by a 19-year old accomplice identified by the name Robert Pastore, stabbed John Hopkins-Drago with a knife 40 -50 times just after midnight on December 22nd, afterward stuffing his mutilated body in a plastic bag and disposing of it in a shopping cart in an alleyway.
3 days earlier, on December 19th, police say Butler shot Christopher Umpierre in the chest at his Dewey Avenue apartment during an attempted robbery.
Buttler is alleged to be a member of the street gang known as the Bloods. She goes by the name “Lady Red”. She is being charged with murder, manslaughter, assault and weapon possession in connection with the death of John Hopkins-Drago, and in connection with the death of Christopher Umpierre, she faces second-degree murder and robbery charges.
